GOOD GOLF IS EASY - the fastest, easiest way to consistent, enjoyable golf and to lower scores for amateur golfers Overview

Good Golf is Easy! And in his book John Norsworthy, a Fellow of the P.G.A. with more than a half century of experience will show you why.

He has taught just about every type of student ranging from complete beginners to tournament professionals, from celebrities to politicians and even a king!

If you are like most weekend golfers with limited time to practice and play, this book will provide you with an approach that is best suited to you.

The great players and teachers of a hundred years ago played some magnificent golf, often in very difficult conditions and with equipment far more rudimentary than that of today.

They did so because they relied far more on their natural innate abilities, their rhythm and their sense of timing.

The material in this book takes you back to the source of golf to what we can call 'eternal golfing truths' and helps you to rediscover your own instinctive skills that you have learned from your earliest childhood so that you may play with freedom, with pleasure and with ease.

------------

Foreword by Morgan Mason

I have been blessed in many ways over the years. One of those blessings was an impulse to take a golf lesson having never touched a club or had any interest before.

That day I was blessed again to meet John Norsworthy. Since then he has become a true friend and mentor. Although I didn’t take that first lesson until well past the age of 40, I was able, with John’s guidance and confidence in me, to go from complete novice to a single digit handicap in less than 3 years. Something I didn’t really believe was possible but John did. John is not only a great teacher but also a great gentleman. I believe this book will be a tremendous asset to golfers of all levels. The comparisons between the players of yesterday and today are revealing and show that with all the modern technology available now, not much has really changed in the last 100 years. These eternal truths will benefit the game of all golfers and more importantly will make the game easier and more enjoyable.

Thank you John and bless you for making my life so much more enjoyable!

------------

About the Author

John Norsworthy, son to Ernest and Elizabeth, was born in Guildford, England in 1937.

Living just a few minutes from the local golf course, John at the age of six started making regular visits there and became acquainted with chipping, putting and the general rules of the game.

At the age of twelve, John started caddying and aged seventeen he started a five year apprenticeship as an assistant at the Roehampton golf club in London.

In 1960 John played in The Open Championship at St. Andrews, which that year celebrated its centenary anniversary.

He found he had a natural calling as a teacher and in 1961 after qualifying as a British PGA pro, he became the assistant pro at the Dulwich and Sydenham Hill Golf Club.

A couple of years later became the head pro at the Radyr Golf Club in Wales. While there he also became captain of the South Wales PGA and a golf correspondent for the national TV channel TWW.

Following that John worked for the British PGA to promote golf in Nigeria in Africa, where he also the founded the Nigerian PGA.

In the early 70s, golf was starting to bloom in the French Cote D’Azur and he was asked to become the head pro at the Valbonne-Opio golf club.

He also spent a couple of years in Belgium as the head pro at the Royal Waterloo golf club, the same club where Henry Cotton had held the same position some years before. While there he frequently gave lessons to the King Léopold and became the co-founder of the Belgian PGA.

Finally he returned to the Cote D’Azur once again as the Valbonne head pro, then at the Riveria Golf Mandelieu in Cannes before becoming the director of the St Philippe Golf Academy from its opening in 2002 until 2008.

Today John lives in the South of France with his wife Ida where he continues to share the magic of his 'Good Golf is Easy' training program with his students.

The Women's Guide to Golf: A Handbook for Beginners Overview

Throughout her teaching career, Kellie Stenzel has been continually asked to recommend a beginning golf instruction book for her female students to read. She researched the market and found nothing suitable—most books are too technical for the beginner and assume that the reader already has some familiarity with the game. This became the inspiration for The Women’s Guide to Golf, a well-crafted and easy-to-understand golf instructional for women who are new to the game.

Each section of the book provides a complete explanation of the skills needed to play golf. Ideas are presented in a clear and simple manner—golf lingo is translated into every-day English whenever possible so the reader can easily understand. Since students must have an idea of what they are trying to accomplish before they can learn, Kellie Stenzel starts at the very beginning and gives detailed explanations of basic concepts. For example, she explains what a putter looks like, what a putting green looks like, and what the goal of putting is, before teaching the reader how to putt. In addition, since women’s learning style is very different from men’s, this book also addresses specific women’s issues, such as posture and lack of distance.

This book includes

- a thorough explanation of the game
- easy-to-understand instructions
- suggestions on how to avoid embarrassment as a beginner
- simple ways to remember what you’ve read
- great anecdotes from the author’s experiences as a golfer and a teacher
- over 75 black-and-white photos

The Women’s Guide to Golf is one of the most accessible and comprehensive golf instructionals ever written for women—it is the perfect book for any woman who wants to learn the game.

The Women's Guide to Golf: A Handbook for Beginners Specifications

Kellie Stenzel Garvin, a PGA and LPGA class-A teaching professional, has been golfing since she was 3 years old. In her book, The Women's Guide to Golf, she attempts to teach the woman golfer who has not. Assuming the reader has no prior knowledge of the game, she explains everything. The chapters are set up as lessons, the first ones covering the course, the ball, the hole, and the equipment. The simplicity of these first lessons may seem a little insulting--after all, a beginning golfer is not the same as a beginning reader. But when she discusses grip in lesson 5, pay attention--that's when Stenzel Garvin starts to shine. With the aid of 75 black-and-white photos, she takes the novice golfer through the basic points of putting and the short game before moving on to the full swing. Two of the most valuable lessons aimed at helping the beginner avoid the pitfalls that would make her stand out: step-by-step instructions for going to the driving range to hit a bucket of balls and playing a round of golf. "Fake it 'til you make it" is her mantra. Left-handed golfers be warned, this book is written strictly from a right-handed perspective, so all instructions will have to be translated. --Suzanne Sexton

The gearing is the next stop most popular way to keep the club. This handle locks his hands, because the little finger of the hand is intertwined lead again with the index finger. Dave Pelz's Short Game Bible: Master the Finesse Swing and Lower Your Score (Dave Pelz Scoring Game Series) Overview

Dave Pelz's Short Game Bible is the first book in a four-book series, The Dave Pelz Scoring Game Series. The next volume in the series will be Dave Pelz's Putting Bible.

"He who rules the short game collects the gold."
--Dave Pelz's Golden Rule of Golf

Fed up with trying to imitate the pros, buying the latest expensive equipment, and seeing your handicap stay the same? The first book by bestselling author and internationally revered golf instructor Dave Pelz since Putt Like the Pros, his bestselling classic, Dave Pelz's Short Game Bible can show you the way to lower scores by improving your short game. The result of decades of scientific research studying thousands of golfers, Dave's philosophy is as simple as it is revolutionary and groundbreaking: Instead of practicing the wrong things the right way, or the right things the wrong way, Pelz shows you how to find your own personal weaknesses and how to improve them to efficiently lower your scores. Packed with all the knowledge, charts, and photos needed to learn from the master, Dave Pelz's Short Game Bible is the essential book for every golfer who's looking to improve his or her game.

Dave's approach to golf is easy to understand: 80 percent of the strokes golfers lose to par are determined by their play within 100 yards of the green--the crucial scoring game. The most important and yet the least focused-on aspect of golf, your short game, can indeed make or break your entire game. And nobody teaches the short game like Dave Pelz. His renowned golf schools and clinics focus exclusively on putting and the short game, attracting top players like Tom Kite, Colin Montgomerie, two-time U.S. Open champion Lee Janzen, reigning PGA champion Vijay Singh, Steve Elkington, Payne Stewart, Peter Jacobsen, and many LPGA players including Annika Sorenstam and Liselotte Neumann. The pros know, as you are about to learn, that while others teach golfers how to swing, Dave Pelz teaches golfers how to score . . . and win.

A former physicist for NASA, Dave brings a scientific rigor to his research and instruction that has made him the top short-game expert in the world. Dave has observed and then taught thousands of golfers to improve their ability to score better. The years he has spent studying the short game, including chipping, lobs, pitches, distance wedges, and bunker play, have resulted in an unequaled expertise and a fascinating body of knowledge on golf, with the statistics and data to back it up. In this new book, Dave for the first time shares the understanding and techniques he has taught the pros, including a wide array of innovative tests and exercises for mastering those deceptive and high-pressure shots of the short game.

Dave Pelz's Short Game Bible is an essential book for golfers of all levels. Covering everything golfers need to know to improve their short game, Dave's system can--and will--help you to consistently shoot lower scores.

Dave Pelz's Short Game Bible: Master the Finesse Swing and Lower Your Score (Dave Pelz Scoring Game Series) Specifications

As the reigning rabbi on the mysteries of golf from 100 yards in, Pelz has earned the right to anoint his expansive instruction on the short game a "Bible." A scientist by training, he's analyzed the macros and dissected the micros to come up with a gospel for pros (Lee Janzen, Vijay Singh, and Anika Sorenstam, to name a few disciples) and weekend hackers alike. Pelz fills his scripture with photos, illustrations, charts, and plenty of sage advice on pitching, chipping, sandplay, putting, equipment, execution, mechanics, technique, practice, attitude, lots of questions, and plenty of answers. Much of the Short Game Bible is pretty sophisticated stuff aimed toward better players--or, at least, players who take their golf seriously. But its basics are appropriate to any skill level of the game: Accurately assess your own weaknesses, and then go about improving them systematically with the author's carefully researched and tested plan. It seems so obvious, but the truth is, most golfers either beat balls on the range in search of distance or slave over eight-foot putts on the practice green; they fail to pay enough attention to the shots in between. Pelz does the math for you here; his figures add up, so that yours can go down--the golfing equivalent of forgiving sins and absolving trespasses. --Jeff Silverman

▷▷▷Learn the basics of golf etiquette

Basic is that the rules of golf? Well, I can almost be summed up in one simple word "Respect!" This game is probably one of the quietest around the ice sport. There are other golfers to yell no puking with a finger, or chasing people with golf clubs. (Unless your friend has had the last cold beverage) HAHA! It 'happened to all of us at some point. Not to roll your eyes you know its true.

the basic rules of golf is to treat people as you would likeand treated according to the rules and not act like a spoiled little child. If you play it safe along the way, you should take care of your clothes right. What kind of clothes they wear do you need? Do your shoes need football boots cleats shoes or not? These are all questions you should ask if you go to a new club that you do not know the rules des

Another important thing to look at is basic research on the label when it is actually on the golf course. IfYou are a beginner and a nation somewhat 'slower and keep up to put up with so far for you to go around and jump forward. If you are behind others that are slow and are unable to provide for you to go ahead of them, do not be rude, just be patient and kind, without any appearance of trying to overthrow or to hurry, and wait to open the hole.

This is all just ways to correct, as you were taught when you were a child. This is all the basic rules of golf. Putso you want a child to act up whenever you went to a 5-star restaurant with a beautiful day? Of course, you do not want to act in a mature adult with respect.

If you see trash lying on the ground, then get under way. basic etiquette is not just following rules and respecting others, is also helping the needy and to help keep the price on the last ship to others have the same game that you like and enjoy playing. Be kind, have fun and be safeWhen the course.
