▷▷▷Golf - Hit the Ball Out the Damn Bunker!

So your bunker play sucks and you want to do something about it.

Well, its not easy but here's a rough guide to get you started. There are basically two kinds of greenside bunker shops and they depend on how your golf ball is lying.

The first situation is a good lie where the ball sits up nicely on top of the sand.

The second is not so good when your ball is buried in the sand.

To get out of each type of lie demands a different kind of shot to get out of the bunker.

Golf-Hit The Ball Out The Damn Bunker!

If your lie is good you can use the so called "splash shot". Your goal is to contact the sand before the ball; it is the displacement of sand that lifts the ball into the air. Don't try to "pick" the ball off the sand.

1) Position the ball forward in your stance.

2) Open the club face and then take your grip.

3) Open your stance until the club face aims to the target, keeping the butt of the club on the centre line of your body.

4) Stand further away from the ball and dig your feet into the sand to lower the bottom of your swing arc.

5) Make sure that your head is directly between your shoulders, not on a tilt.

6) Swing down your shoulder line and keep your weight on your left side throughout your swing.

Golf-Hit The Ball Out The Damn Bunker!

If your lie is bad you can use the "blast shot". Since the ball is buried below the surface, you want your club to make a deep cut in to the sand to dig the ball out.

1) Position the ball back in your stance.

2) Close the club face until it is square with the target.

3) Using a combination of arms and hands strike a descending blow just behind the ball without trying to follow through.

4) Allow for hardly any back spin, a lower flight through the air but more roll.

▷▷▷How Do The Wrists Release In The Golf Swing

The perfect golf swing is not just in the shoulders or the arms. The way your wrists release during your golf swing can have a major impact on the ball. So, how do the wrists release in the golf swing?

If you don't release the swing at the wrists just right, you may end up with a slice. This is what most beginners, and quite a few pros, often do. Of all the culprits that might be ruining your game, you may not think to blame those harmless old wrists. Let's take a look at the way you release that swing...

Perfect Timing Means Perfect Results

Here's the perfect release:

Make a good backswing turn. As you start your swing, shift your weight to your left foot, the forward foot of your swing. As you swing, you unwind, starting with your legs and torso, then moving on to your shoulders and arms.

But wait a minute! Keep those wrists locked up. Until the very last part of the downswing, keep those wrists locked. Then, let them go and watch that ball fly.

Wait!!! Not Yet!

Most golfers release their wrists too soon in the swing. You just can't wait to send that ball flying, so you start to swing your shoulders and arms down too early, instead of letting it start naturally with the torso. You end up swinging the club down and then you have to release the wrists in the middle of that downswing.

You've really got to wait until the final nanosecond of the downswing to let the wrists go. The timing is something that you have to work on. You shouldn't have to force it; if you let yourself unwind just right, your wrists will know when to release.

Usually, when you release your wrists too early, you end up hooking the ball. If you get lots of hooking, you should take a closer look at your wrist release.

What Happened?

Some golfers don't release the wrists at all. This is most often due to nerves, or trying to force the ball right into the target area. You might be uncertain of your shot, and this will make your shot stiff and frozen. It sounds bad, but even very good golfers do this.

If you don't release the wrist at all, or not enough, you'll end up hitting the ball much shorter than you intended to. You probably will be closer to your intended target, but you'll lose yards and yards on it.

Get It Right!

Here's a good tip for you when you're practicing: Relax. Let all that tension go. Being nervous about your shot is the number one cause of improper wrist release. Twist your body, put your weight on your forward foot, and do it. It should be a natural motion, and you just can't be natural with it if you're whole body is tense.

Here's another way to think about it: You are using the rotational force of your body. Black belts in karate rotate their torsos in the same way to add power to their punch.

Getting the right wrist release is a Zen thing; it happens when you don't think about it. Sound esoteric? Sorry about that! Put another way, you shouldn't have to consciously release your wrists. If you twist your body just right and let the natural rotation do its thing, your wrists will know when to go.

A good grip, a good set up, a natural swing and you don't have to do anything at all. Just let those wrists go!

▷▷▷Instructional Resources For Beginning And All Lady Golfers

Gary McCord's instructional video is a wonderful DVD for beginners as well as seasoned golfers. Face to face with Gary McCord, CBS Golf Commentator and Sr. PGA Tour Champion, is an informative and easy way to get the basics of golf or to review and tweek your your game. I like to watch it whenever there's a little something amiss with my game. Staying with the basics works for me.

PLAY A ROUND OF GOLF WITH WENDY WARD is another video I previewed recently. Wendy Ward is a two-time LPGA Tour winner and in this video she plays a round of golf at The Greyhawk Golf Course in Scottsdale, Arizona. In the video she demonstrates valuable tips on swing tempo, club selection, wedge play, and fairway woods and explains how you can apply these tips to your own game. Definitely worth having in your video library.

EDUCATE YOURSELF. I like to be well prepared when I undertake something new. One of my favorite ways to enter a new venture is to read and learn. That way, I make myself familiar with the lingo and at least I sound like I know what I'm doing. So, when I started making my way into the game of golf, I wanted to make sure I could talk my way onto the first tee.

A couple of my favorites. A Woman's Own Golf Book: Simple Lessons for a Lifetime of Great Golf by Barbara Puett and Jim Appelbaum is a good place to start. Some other good reads:

Golf: The Best Instruction Book Ever by Golf Digest

Golf Magazine's Complete Book of Golf Instruction

David Leadbetter: Simple Secrets for Great Golf

There are many, many other books and videos available that will fit your interests and your learning styles.

Even though I have been playing for a few years, I continue to build my golf library. Books and videos are helpful tools of the game and never go out of date. Just like a favorite recipe book, you will collect favorite golf books. Enjoy the reading and get ready to tee up!

▷▷▷Learn How To Play Golf

As great as the game of golf is, I have heard it said that golf is the largest Rubik's cube that will never be figured out. With that being said how are beginner golfers supposed to learn how to play golf? Fortunately, there are many ways to learn how to play golf and enjoy this game. For example, the game of golf has a rich history that you can spend hours and hours reading and or researching.

There are three basic ways to learn how to play golf.

Take an Individual Lesson - There are many other things that you would not attempt to learn yourself. However, everybody thinks that hitting a little white ball can not be that hard so they try it themselves or they have a friend teach them how to play golf. Just as if you are cooking or building a building there are some fundamental things that need to happen so the end result is reached. An individual lesson is the best way to get the most individual attention to your swing and you should see the quickest results. When first learning how to play golf, I would suggest taking thirty minute lessons and not an hour lesson. The reason why is that you will be hearing a lot of new information and you will only be able to process so much of it. The Professional should start with putting and gradually move farther and farther away from the hole. In addition, you will physically be asked to do things that you are not used to doing and you will tire quickly during the early lessons.

Take a Group Clinic - Learning in a group is another way to learn how to play golf. Finding a beginner clinic will place you with other new golfers who are at the same skill level and can turn into your new playing partners. Typically during a group clinic, the instructor will give a presentation to the group and then allow everyone to spread out on the range tee and will spend some individual time with each student. If you like to learn at your own pace this is a good place for you to start. Before you sign up for the clinic, make sure that the clinic will cover all aspects of the game. The clinic should spend time on putting, chipping, pitching, full swing and the rules. This way you are exposed to all aspects of the game. A clinic that goes to the range every meeting is not going to do you much good once you get your golf ball up and around the green. What do you do then? Learning how to putt and chip is very important when you are first learning how to play golf as more than 50% of your shots will be considered "short game shots." Learning these shots will be the quickest way to lower your scores.

Third way to learn how to play golf is to teach yourself the game through reading books, watching golf DVDs as well as actual trial and error. Obviously this will take the longest to master. However, if score is not your main objective and gaining more exercise or spotting nature during your round is more important to you then this is (by far) the most inexpensive route to take.

If you are interested in learning how to play golf, above are three different ways to become involved in the game. Foreword by Morgan Mason

I have been blessed in many ways over the years. One of those blessings was an impulse to take a golf lesson having never touched a club or had any interest before.

That day I was blessed again to meet John Norsworthy. Since then he has become a true friend and mentor. Although I didn’t take that first lesson until well past the age of 40, I was able, with John’s guidance and confidence in me, to go from complete novice to a single digit handicap in less than 3 years. Something I didn’t really believe was possible but John did. John is not only a great teacher but also a great gentleman. I believe this book will be a tremendous asset to golfers of all levels.

The comparisons between the players of yesterday and today are revealing and show that with all the modern technology available now, not much has really changed in the last 100 years. These eternal truths will benefit the game of all golfers and more importantly will make the game easier and more enjoyable.

Thank you John and bless you for making my life so much more enjoyable!

▷▷▷Simple Golf Swing - Review

The Simple Golf Swing Golf is published by expert David Nevogt. The guide is designed to help someone with a handicap of 18 or higher. It will also improve the quality of the expert golfer.

This excellent guide will help you a revolutionary new grip technology, installation and customization in a simple format with clear pictures and illustrations show how to do it.

The Simple Golf Swing uses the spine as the focal point of the swing golfers. As the shouldersrotate on the backswing, the spine operates as an axis. The back-swing is shorter than most swings taught so it takes a few practice shots to get used to, but following this excellent system will make your drives straighter and longer but with very little lost power. Following the rules in this guide will improve your shot consistency and drop your score.

This system - because it really is more than just a simple book - guarantees to lengthen your range and reduce your strokes by up to 10 in just two weeks. While this may sound incredible, it's actually easily done when you consider how many penalty strokes are earned in an average round, how many yards are lost in a typical drive and how many times balls end up in the rough! This step-by-step course helps take the guessing out of your swing.

Simply put, this system works. If you're a beginner or bogey golfer you'll find this invaluable to help you improve your score now, not in ten or twenty years! More experienced players will also find tips to improve your game. Not sure if it's right for you? Don't worry as it's covered by a no-questions-asked money back guarantee!

Here are some of the things the Simple Golf Swing program contains:

- The secrets to a winning swing plane
- How to gain more confidence on the course
- How to manage your emotions
- Simple tricks to change your hand action and add measurable distance to your shots
- Different grip styles and which work best
- Clubface alignment that will give you confidence on every tee.
- Simple techniques to hit more greens and get closer to the hole

You can have all of the greatest equipment, wear the best clothes and it won't help you one bit until you can consistently hit the ball long and straight. The Simple Golf Swing will teach these fundamentals in no time.

A golf pro will easily charge per hour. You can pick up this system for a fraction of this price as a one-off expense. Also included is a lifetime of free updates as they become available! You'll also get 8 great bonuses.

▷▷▷Beginners in Golf - Don't Worry It's Not As Bad As it Seems

If you've never played it golf looks like a pretty simple game. It does have two fundamental problems however - the ball is very small and the hole is very far away. This can make starting out and playing your first few rounds for beginners in golf a pretty tough task. It can be a bit confusing at times. There are rules to learn, customs to follow and a pace of play to maintain. No need to worry, I have good news for you - you're a beginner, you have to give yourself time to learn all these thing and master your skills. You can make your first year as a golfer difficult, or you can make it easy.

Heres a few ideas to make it easy for beginners in golf.:

1) Before your first rounds be sure to watch a few rounds of golf on the TV. Now your swing won't look like the guys on television, but observe how they move around the course. Listening to the commentary is also a great guide to how the top players think. At the very least try and have a few sessions at the practice range.

2) Try and play your first few rounds with an experienced player. Now obviously you won't play as well as them don't worry about that - you're a beginner, right. It gives you someone to answer your questions and help you find your way around the course.

3) The first tee - oh my God For beginners in golf It can be a very daunting place, often in full view of the clubhouse and other golfers with lots of eyes on you. The tendency is to stiffen up and rush the shot, try and relax, slow down and go through your normal routine.

4) In your early rounds there's nothing wrong with moving your ball out of very difficult lies. Someone may tell you that you're breaking the rules - they're right you are. Just explain you're not playing for a score you're just practising the easy shots before you try the hard ones.

The important thing for beginners in golf is this - golf is a complex game, you can't learn it all at once. If you practice and constantly add to your golfing knowledge, trust me, you will evolve into a good player.
