▷▷▷How Does Ernie Els Hit the Ball So Far?

When Tiger Woods swings his driver, or Bubba Watson, you can see the power and you almost hurt yourself just watching. Then there's Ernie Els, every recreational golfer's favorite player. With what seems like no effort at all, he hits the ball just as far as anyone. How does he hit the ball so hard with such an easy swing? To begin with, appearances are deceptive.

Ernie hits it harder than you think he does, but let's back up first to his development as a young golfer. The story goes that when he was a boy, he would hit plastic balls in his back yard. With an easy swing, they would go about 70 feet. If he hit one as hard as he could, it would go about 70 feet. This taught him that swinging out of his shoes wasn't the key to good golf.

What he does is obey the fundamentals of the golf swing, the first of which is the setup. The grip, stance, aim, and posture that you get yourself into before you take the club away define the movement that can follow. A good setup tends to restrict your movements to the right ones. In a poor setup, anything goes, and most of it is wrong.

The second fundamental of his swing, the one that makes it stand out so, is his rhythm and tempo. He never rushes matters, letting them unfold in the right sequence and in the right time. He really does swing hard. If you have a chance to see him live, you will get a big surprise. But his rhythm and tempo allow his swing to flow gracefully and effortlessly from start to finish. They allow all his power to be concentrated at the moment of impact in a square, in-line hit.

Imagine you've hung up a carpet and you're beating it with a tennis racket to get the dust out of it. You know that to get the maximum effect from your blow, the racket needs to hit the carpet traveling straight into the carpet, not at an angle to it, and the entire racket head needs to hit the carpet flush, not hitting the carpet first with an edge of the racket.

Now think of the carpet as a golf ball, and the racket as your club's head, and there you have it -- a square, in-line hit. That's how to hit the ball hard, and that's what Ernie does. Always keep in mind that swinging hard and hitting hard are two different things.

There is one more thing about him that try as we might, most of us won't be able to copy--talent. Ernie, along with all professional golfers, has a talent for hitting the ball a long way. You're either a long hitter or you aren't. Paying attention to the fundamentals allowed him to develop his talent fully. You can do the same thing, and hit the ball as far as your talent allows, which will be plenty.

▷▷▷Aldila NV - The Shaft That Will Leave Your Buddies Green With NV

The Aldila NV is far and away Aldila's most popular shaft. The NV gained widespread popularity amongst both the PGA and the better amateur ranks. Why has this shaft been so popular and why does it favor the better player?

First of all, Aldila wanted to make a shaft that would perform on the biggest stage, the PGA tour... and boy did they succeed. The NV series is one of the most popular shafts on the PGA and Nationwide tours today. The NV plays well for the accomplished player looking for feel and optimal ball trajectory. Although the Aldila NV 65 is probably the most popular, you will find an extensive model selection. A selection that keeps the shaft in arms length for many players wanting to experience the NV magic.

Next a bit about the NV technology. The shaft features a unique Micro Laminate Technology (MDT) that provides the player uncompromising power, a consistent flex, and superb feel... a highly effective combination. The Micro Laminate Technology allows for an extraordinary slim design that provides a stable profile. This technology has allowed the shaft to be an outstanding all around performer with fantastic feel.

The NV however has a relatively low torque, which generally favors players with good club-head speed. It is because of this relatively low torque that the NV performs better for the accomplished player. Players with slower swing speeds would benefit more from a higher torque shaft, perhaps the Aldila NVS.

There are a four NV models to choose from, categorized by weight (grams). The lightest model, the NV 55, then the most popular NV 65, followed by the NV 75 and ending with the NV 85. The most popular, NV 65 fits well for most players due to its middle of the road profile. All four models are classified as a low to mid launch angle shaft. The torque starts at 3.9 for the NV 55 (exception of a more generous 4.6 for the "L" flex), down to a very tight 2.6 for the NV 85. The NV is also available in the Proto model which is definitely geared toward the highly skilled player with good club head speed, looking for a low, piercing ball trajectory.

The Aldila NV produces rockets off the tee - definitely a high-end shaft. The NV, in the right hands, will provide enhanced power, flex, and precise feel that few shafts can match. The NV will exude a confidence off the tee that will carry over to other areas of your game sure to make your buddies green with NV.

▷▷▷Five Steps for Improving Bunker Technique

Although hitting from a bunker is straightforward once you learn the basics of stance and posture, the thought of hitting into a greenside sand trap unsettles many golfers. Improving your technique reduces the fear of bunker play and builds self-confidence in your shot-making capabilities.

Assuming the texture of the sand is similar, and the ball is not plugged, the technique for hitting out of a greenside bunker remains the same for shots up to 30 yards (27m). The key to making this shot, as I've explained in my golf tips, is hitting the sand about 1 to 2 inches behind the ball, throwing the sand forward with the ball. For longer shots the only thing that changes is the swing's length. Rhythm and tempo remain the same.

Below are 5 points I cover in my golf lessons on bunker technique. They're the focus of my golf instruction once I've reviewed how a wedge works and the fundamentals of stance and posture.

1. Move Arms Away in Unison

Having taken a slightly open stance, resist the temptation to get too steep early in the takeaway. Keep the wrists passive as you sweep the club away. Try to synchronize the arm swing and body turn. In other words, make the first part of the takeaway a one-piece movement. Also, make sure the clubhead follows the path away from the ball parallel to the line of your toes.

2. Rotate and Open

Rotate your left arm and wrists as the swing continues, as if you were looking at a wristwatch. It's a visual I often use in my golf instruction to help players remember to make the move. It opens the clubface and helps maximize the bounce effect on the sand wedge at impact. Also, start hinging your wrists as the clubhead passes your right thigh. Keep your head still, turn the left shoulder in under the chin, and turn your back to the target.

3. Turn to the Top

As your body turns, you should feel as if your clubhead is pointing toward the sky and your wrists are cocked. Keep your head and body centered over the over the ball. Swing the club down on a slightly flatter plane, with good rhythm and tempo, as always. This is a key move any time you swing a club.

4. Make the Right Contact

Hitting the right impact point is critical when playing from the sand. In golf lessons I tell students to visualize the ball sitting on top of a tee instead of the sand, then focus on clipping the tee beneath the ball, which just happens to get in the swing's way. Executed properly, this move will throw the ball out of the bunker with just the right amount of sand.

5. Create a Controlled Explosion

As the club comes down in the downswing, you should feel your hands drag left, pulling them across the ball through impact. Make sure that your right hand doesn't cross over the left and that you clear your left hip as the club comes through. If the stance and clubhead are open sufficiently, the ball will fly straight, with a high trajectory.

Of course, the technique for longer bunker shots differs slightly. The key with longer shots is in the follow-through. Use a full finish for long bunker shots, and a short finish for shorter bunker shots.

Below are two exercises that I use in golf lessons to help students improve their bunker technique:

o This exercise establishes how the sand wedge should really work. Stand in a practice bunker without a ball. Adopt your normal bunker stance and take several swings down into the sand. The object is to get the feel of the clubhead dragging through the sand, not digging into it. After a dozen shots, try hitting a ball. Pick out a spot where you want the ball to land and then go for it. Repeat the exercise until you're comfortable with the feel of the wedge splashing through the sand.

o Focusing on a spot where the clubhead hits can divert attention from where it emerges, resulting in a fluffed shot. The "Two Lines" exercise helps eliminate the tendency to lose focus. Stand in a bunker and take your normal bunker stance. Draw two lines in the sand about 6 to 7 inches apart. The lines represent the length of the sand you should carve from under the ball. Line up several balls between the two lines then hit them. The clubhead should enter the sand where the first line is and emerge where the second line is.

Practicing these two exercises while keeping the 5 points in mind will help build better bunker technique. As you become more and more comfortable with hitting out of a bunker, you will increase your self-confidence. And that, as I often tell my students, leads to better play and lower golf handicaps.

▷▷▷The Gamechangers by the Fake IB (*P)L Player

Clever Plot

The plot of The Gamechangers itself is extremely clever which hinges on the efforts to find out the real identity of the blogger. The spotlight of the book is, however, on the mastermind of the IBL, Lalu Parekh. The larger picture that emerges from the book is of conniving administrators, drugs, sex, ambitions of dominating the world and some cricket is there, too.

Guesswork Is Easy And Fun

The characters written about in the book are compelling enough to make "The Gamechangers" a must read for anyone interested in cricket or entertainment of both. All the characters including the Bollywood star, cricketers, cricket administrator is described in so detailed manner that the guesswork about who is who becomes very simple. This suspense also increases the fun quotient of the book.

There Is Romance As Well

Of course, the author makes all the essential assertions that all the characters are fictitious and what not, you still enjoy the fun. For example, the description of the director and close friend of a star is clear enough to arouse your interest in the book and forthcoming content of the book. The romance side story makes the book softer and more interesting. Cricket is full of politics and the book gives you an inside look at whatever is happening within the governing body of the game. Cricket is definitely secondary to all these things happening.

Very Readable

"The Gamechangers" is an extremely readable book and you will be almost forced to read it from start to finish. Some kind of action is happening in all the pages and all the paragraphs and you can't skip even one section.

▷▷▷Book Review- Tales from the Detroit Tigers Dugout by Jack Ebling

In many ways, we can read the history of America on its ball fields, written in the dust of the infield or the chalk of the baselines. Well-suited to lazy summer days by virtue of its leisurely pace, and providing a wealth of statistics to keep its fans amused during the off-season, baseball is a uniquely American blend of action, reflection, and squabbles (called "rhubarbs" in the vernacular). And in this, the game oddly reflects the culture that gave it birth.

For those whose appreciation of sports extends no further than the city limits of New York or Boston, a book about a team of mere provincials may prove as alluring to east coast sophisticates as a trip to WalMart to mingle with the riffraff. But for those with a love of the traditions and lore of the Great American Pastime, Tales from the Detroit Tigers Dugout offers a welcome and tantalizing glimpse into one of the oldest and most successful baseball teams in history. Fast-paced and tightly written, the book will delight Tiger fans, and enlighten fans everywhere.

As the author recounts, in recent years the team from Motown had fallen on hard times. Tiger fans had begun to measure the time between winning teams in decades, rather than seasons, capped by a team-record 119 losses in 2003. Yet in those dark years, careful behind-the-scenes planning was already laying the foundation for the team's 2006 re-emergence into the upper tier of major league baseball. And the book is filled with past legends and hints of future glory that offer fans the promise of baseball glory in the years to come.

Though often ignored by sportswriters from bigger cities, Tiger legends are among the most gifted and venerated names in the history of the sport. Ty Cobb, for instance, was probably the best player ever to walk onto a baseball field--and arguably the nastiest and most contemptible human being ever to don a baseball uniform. But other Tigers were almost as skilled, yet often labored in the shadows of their better-publicized counterparts from the coast. Hank Greenburg, Charlie Gehringer, Al Kaline, and other Hall-of-Famers brought off-field class as well as on-field brilliance to the game. As the author notes, their contribution to franchise history is not lost on students or true fans of the game. Though like other stars of Cooperstown, their timeless talents are often obscured by the large salaries and larger egos of today's lesser stars, fans of all ages and eras will enjoy the stories of how and why baseball in Detroit has grown along with the game that is among the treasures of American culture.

All Americans love an underdog, one who can rise from nothing and soldier on through adversity. Win or lose, there is something about the struggles of the common man that speaks to the American heart, giving us hope for ourselves and our future. A book about baseball will not solve the problems of world hunger or global terrorism, but the magic of sports consists of bringing people together through shared adventures in a sheltered world where conflicts are solved through teamwork and effort. And by sharing some of the hopes and dreams of a long-suffering and newly emerging sports team, Tales from the Detroit Tigers Dugout reminds us that miracles are everywhere around us. We only need to open our eyes and hearts to the magic, and sports can bring smiles to our souls, no matter what is happening in the rest of the world.

▷▷▷Sports, Hobbies & Games Books

But what if you are a beginner at a particular sport or you are interested in the past about your sport? There may be many different questions that you need answers to about your interest. You could be asking:

•How long does it take to train a horse to jump?
•How is the score kept in football?
•Who has had the best game ever in your sport of choice?
•What is the best way to tie a knot when fishing?

The answers to these questions and many more are right at your fingertips. Motorsports is another popular category for many. Racing a car gives the adrenaline rush that some are looking for but of course, there are also dangers to this sport. Some great things to ask questions on would be what protective gear should I wear during a race and is there any special way that I should design my car. These could be very important questions that you should ask in order to be able to save your life.

The History and Biography
With all of the different sports that hold an interest for some, it is possible that you may just want to learn about the history of a sport or about someone who has made great lengths in their profession. Mary King: The Autobiography by Mary King is just one example of this type of book and it is about her great success in the equestrian world. But what if your idea of a sport is not keeping your feet on the ground and being able to look down upon the entire world and everything that happens in it? Air sports are a great way to be able to leave the world behind and see new and exciting things. You could even be a part of a team such as Red Arrows: The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team in Action. You will be able to see what it is like to all of the flips, turns and dives that lend thrill and excitement to Air Sports.

The World Indoors
It may be possible that you are more of the indoor type of person but still want to participate in a good sport. This is when you may want to look into gaming. There are many different types of indoor games that you can participate in such as board games, card games, puzzles and quizzes, billiards, and even video and electronic games. Board and card games can give the whole family a chance to spend some time together or for a group of friends to gather for a fame of poker. If you are interested in board games, you may have a few questions such as:

•What are the most popular board games available?
•Can you play any of them online?
•How do I learn how to play?
•Can I get tips and hints for any of the games?

These questions and many more will probably come up when you decide to start playing board games. There are books that can help you with many of your questions such as Texas Hold'em Poker: Win Online, The Mathematics of Poker and even Chess for Children. There is an abundance of information that can be readily available at the tips of your fingers with just a click of your mouse. What if you want to do magic tricks with your cards? The Royal Road to Card Magic could be just the answer.

The World Online
Online video gaming is not just for kids anymore. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Strategy Guide is testimonial to that. You can also find info on Far Cry 2 as well which seems to be a popular online game for teens and adults alike. But what if you are a "newbie" to the world of online gaming? It can be so confusing and you could be wondering:

•Will I be able to understand how to play the game?
•How do I even get started with creating a character?
•Will I be playing by myself or with other people?

There are so many questions that it may take time to figure out where or how to even get going. There are many different strategy guides and books that can help you regardless of what you are trying to learn or accomplish. You can learn the basic of golf, where to go for bird watching, how to master the game of darts or even the best place to gamble.

Don't forget that if you are into a special hobby, such as building model airplanes or cars, there is something for you as well. Learn about the past history of a particular car or who flew the first airplane. There are games that you and your family can play while you are on the road traveling for vacation and even sports that you can do in the water. The list just goes on and on when it comes to Sports, Hobbies and Games. The main question you need to ask yourself is what am I interested in and how can I join in on the fun. The answers to these questions and many more can be found with just a few clicks and maybe in a group discussion to learn how others become great at there true love.

▷▷▷Finding Good Beginner Golf Swing Instructions on the Web

Surfing the internet for good beginner golf swing instructions is like trying to find a black dog while it's pitch dark. It's hard. When it comes to locating great golfing tips, the web is filled with knowledge, but a lot of it is conflicting. What you need is a way to find the "tried and true" beginner golf swing instructions out there and I have the answer.

You aren't going to be able to pinpoint many great tips while using search engines all the time. Actually, search engines are one of the main reason beginning golfers get confusion and conflicting information when trying to get better. Everything seems to be different than the next place you visit and you don't know which beginner golf swing instructions are really going to work.

This is the exact reason why I started using golfing forums about four years ago. These forums are filled with golfers and most of them have already found the exact beginner golf swing instructions that truly do that job. Remember, for every one person (which I assume is you) looking to better your game in some way, there are hundreds of golfers who have already achieved what you are trying to do. You can find their stories, tips, techniques, guides and links in these forums. It give you a good peek at how other golfers were able to use and find beginner golf swing instructions to better their overall game.

If anything ,it give yo ua leg yup on people who continue to blindly sift through search engine results, while hoping they strike oil. With that said, finding good beginner golf swing instructions online is a fantastic way to shave quite a few stokes off of your scorecard.

▷▷▷You Can Hit the Golf Ball Straight

Golfers know that hitting the ball straight is the most difficult skill to acquire. They also know that it is the most important skill they can have. By following the steps below, you can teach yourself how to get it.

The ball goes straight only when the geometry of the strike meets these simple requirements: the clubface is square to the target and the clubhead's path is directly at the target. The complete description of contact would include the clubhead's trajectory as it meets the ball, but that contributes to getting the ball into the air, not to the direction the ball takes in flight.

Golf swing instruction attempts to direct the golfer through movements that will not take the clubhead out of a "slot" that returns the club in line, and at the same time keeps the clubface square at all times to the path the club is traveling both away from and back toward the ball.

This is, unfortunately, getting the cart before the horse. Teaching the swing in this way reduces accurate contact to trial-and-error. When poor contact is made, the reason must be a flaw in the swing to be corrected, and we will try again.

What must be learned is the impact position. A golfer must learn what that position feels like so a swing that passes through that position can be built. By "feels like," I mean the position of the feet, legs, hips, torso, arms, hand, and head -- where these all are in relation to each other when the correct impact geometry of the clubhead is met.

For experienced golfers, here is how to teach yourself how to attain that position. Beginners must use a different method which I will not go into here.

Take a full swing, slow enough so you can stop the clubhead when it gets to where a ball would be sitting. Stop the swing and freeze your body. Very likely, the clubface will not be square to your target. This is the critical part now, and you must proceed carefully.

The clubface is not square because some part of your body has forced it out of square. Relax your body so that the clubface settles into a square orientation. Don't move the body, or the arms, or the legs. Just relax whatever you feel is keeping the club from being square so that the club falls into "squareness."

For example, I tend to close the clubface because my right elbow juts out. Try this and you, too, will find that this closes the face. All I have to do to is to relax my right elbow so that it falls closer to my right side. Not only does this feel more comfortable, but I am now lined up to hit the ball straight at the target.

Club path errors get corrected in the same way. You will feel an exaggerated body position creating tension. If your swing goes too far from the inside to out, your left hip might feel like it is sticking out too far. Golfers who swing from the outside to in might feel tension in their right shoulder. In either case, relaxing the body gets rid of these odd feeling and puts the body into the correct impact position.

From there, the golfer can build a swing in slow motion, beginning with short swings and working up to longer ones, which are all centered around the impact position known to be correct. Swing slowly and always stop at the ball to see that this is the case. This lined-up swing won't be learned in a week, or a month. It will take dedicated practice to develop a golf swing that undoubtedly feels quite different, but which you know is correct, because it consistently gets you the right results.

▷▷▷Six Ways You Can Be a Better Golfer the Next Time You Play

Playing good golf takes time and effort. Even if you have a limited amount of time, here are six things you can do that will make you a better golfer, the next time out, that I know you have the time to do.

1. Get a lesson. Most of us play the shots pretty well, but have one shot that never works out. Like those 30- to 40-yard pitches. Get a lesson and learn how to hit it. Why? Because subconsciously you play to avoid having to hit that shot, which makes you do things on the course you don't want to do, which prevents you from getting the most out of the shots you can hit. Patch up that hole so you can play your game all the time.

2. Practice putting at home, every day, for ten minutes. Set a target down about eight feet away and practice from two feet to eight feet. Pay special attention to the three- and four-footers. Making these short putts can save you two or three strokes the next time out, easy.

3. Practice your grip. Yes, practice your grip. Read any golf instruction book carefully, or have a lesson, and learn what a good grip is. Then practice it until it becomes second nature to put your hands on the club the right way, every time. More poor shots are caused by unnoticed variations in the grip than by any other factor.

4. Think about the golf course you're going to play. If it's one you play often, you should know these things before you head out: which club you will hit off each tee, what part of the green to aim for and what part of the green you should never miss on, which holes you should play for bogey and which holes you can play straight up.

5. Warm up properly before the round. The warm-up gets you loose, but it also gets you in a groove if you do it right. Make more practice swings than you make at a ball. Spend time reminding yourself of how your swing works and get all those movements flowing. Work on tempo and make each swing be a controlled swing. Practice any unique shots that you know will come up, like that 50-yard pitch over water on the 5th hole. On the practice green, hit approach putts for speed, and two-foot putts to see the ball go in the hole.

6. Develop a positive mind. The only way you can play your best is to be positive about everything you do. Step up to the ball eager to hit it because you can't wait to see how well the shot will turn out. Also, be an engaging partner to the members of your group. A positive attitude makes the outing enjoyable for ourselves and the people we play with.

▷▷▷What Makes Target Putting Work?

More golfers than ever are learning that target putting not only helps them putt better, but it is infinitely easier than any other putting method available. That makes the results immediate and universal. And the improvement will last the rest of your golfing life.

Target putting is not like anything else you may have tried before. In fact, it throws the teachings of such "superstars" as Stan Utley and Dave Pelz out the window in favor of common sense and proven logic.

It does this by showing the golfer, regardless of their skill, how to use the natural targeting instincts that all humans have. These instincts have been evolving for thousands of years. It amazes me that their use has not been brought into the world of putting before now.

Think of any target game you have ever played before. It can be pool or darts, throwing a baseball or football, shooting a basketball. There are no games that are exempt from the basic fundamental required in all of them.

The requirement is target awareness instead of technical thought. Have you ever tried to throw a baseball accurately while you are focused on your various arm positions? It can't be done.

Well, that is exactly what the best putting instructors recommend you do when you are putting. It doesn't make sense to worry about your putting stroke, except in practice when you are working on something specific.

Should you bring the putter straight back and through, or should you open it up on the way back so you have to close it precisely the same way on the way through?

In the end, the only thing you accomplish with either is to block your natural targeting instincts and get in the way of your own putting success. Target putting works because it eliminates the barriers that keep those instincts from working for you.

The Four Magic Moves to Winning Golf

List Price: $16.00 The legendary golf instructional, available again. This is, along with Harvey Penick's Little Red Book, THE book Golf professionals turn to.

"Thirty years ago I was recommending Joe Dante's book The Four Magic Moves To Winning Golf as a must read for aspiring PGA professionals.  What Dante said in '62 has influenced many of the game's finest teachers.  Dante was a visionary."--Gary Wiren, author of New Golf Mind

When published, The Four Magic Moves To Winning Golf   radically changed the way many players thought about the golf swing.  Dante's system showed how simple it was to improve one's game, and at the same time gave the golfer one of the most comprehensive analyses of swing mechanics ever published.  Now, thirty-three years after its original publication, Main Street is proud to reissue this classic instructional. Dante begins by sweeping out all the misconceptions of the game.  "If good golf is to be learned and the poor player is to improve, a purging must take place, painful as it may be." Dante discusses a few basics of grip and stance, and then he gets to the heart of his book, the four magic moves.  As he reveals each of the moves, Dante focuses on the physical checkpoints so that any golfer can make sure that his or her swing is on the right track.

The Four Magic Moves To Winning Golf is straightforward and easy to understand, yet unlike other golf books it is irreverent and audacious in its approach to mastering the game.  The publication of this rediscovered classic is sure to establish Joe Dante's reputation as one of golf's greatest teachers.

▷▷▷Golf Workouts Will Increase Your Golf Swing Speed and Distance

I'm sure by now you've heard most of the professional players; both men and women actively participate in golf workouts. It's no secret. But why then do most amateur golfers ignore this? Is it because it seems like work? Or, does the thought of actually breaking a sweat get you tired already?

Vijay Singh Does Golf Workouts

Either way...the proof is in the bag. The number one player in the world, Vijay Singh, does his golf workouts all the way through Sunday of each tournament. Does it look like it's hurting his game? I don't think so. Back in 1997, a young, very athletic golfer came on the professional scene and blew everyone away. I think you know who I'm talking about.

Tiger Woods Golf Workout Routine

Tiger took golf to another level. A real eye-opener for the veteran players who were hitting the 19th hole after every round...and the last thought on their mind was "exercise". What a wake-up call to be totally dominated by a player who was only 20 years old at the time.

Annika Sorenstam Credits Her Golf Exercises

How about the year Annika Sorenstam shot a 59 and totally dominated the LPGA? Do you know what she attributes it to? Golf workouts! She hired a trainer and got serious about her fitness. And look what happened? She hasn't looked back since. She just recently came out with an instruction book and devoted a chapter to golf workouts.

To my recollection, that's the first women's instruction book to include golf workouts. Working out to playing better golf isn't just for the guys; Annika has proved that. Now more LPGA players are working out to try and catch her, just like the guys did with Tiger.

Senior Golfers Now Do Golf Fitness Programs

How about the senior tour? Now players are realizing they can still make good money, even after they've turned 50 and can't really compete with the young guys anymore. With the money at stake, they too are all working out. This group of players both amateur and pro is the biggest demographic that needs it the most.

With age comes a decline in both flexibility and strength. When the body declines, the swing goes right along with it. The result is a big loss in yardage, more mishits, and ballooning scores. The end result...frustration! I can't tell you how many times I've played with and received phone calls from older golfers who are just about ready to quit the game.

They are SO frustrated at this rapid decline, that golf's not fun anymore. But there is hope. The answer? Get your body moving just a little better. How? By participating in workouts for golf program that focuses on golf-specific strength AND flexibility. It's amazing to see golfers in this age bracket dramatically improve their driving distance, accuracy and scores.

You don't have to accept that with age, your body declines. No way! You've got to fight it all the way! I'm dead serious. The ones who do, are the ones who are enjoying the game again and taking all the money in their foursome.

What Is A Golf Workout

What is a golf workout anyways? Is there such a thing? You bet there is. The golf swing is an awkward movement that puts a tremendous amount of stress on the body. To prevent injury and improve swing speed and distance requires your body to be both strong and flexible specific to the swing.

I could spend dozens of pages describing what this entails, but for the sake of this concise article, let's keep it simple.

Golf Is Rotational

The golf swing is a rotational movement, with your body in golf posture. Slight flex of the knees and a bending forward at the hips. Since the golf swing is primarily rotational, wouldn't it make sense to focus on rotational strength and flexibility? That is improving your turning ability related to range of motion and speed.

So anything involving twisting with resistance such as a medicine ball, a dumbbell, or even a weighted club would work. You need to have a resistance to take your body beyond where it normally goes.

For instance, if you took a club and placed it behind your neck, got in your golf posture and rotated back and forth; do you think that by itself would improve your range of motion or power?

Use A Weighted Golf Club

No, you need to add resistance to accomplish this. Take a weighted club and make golf swings. Now you'll be making a bigger turn AND improving your power. Same thing with a medicine ball. Make turns back and through holding a 4 to 6 pound ball and you'll see a BIG improvement.

In fact, most of your abdominal work should be rotational. Doing straight crunches won't improve your driving distance. Doing rotational movements with added weight will. This is where I could go on and on, but I won't overload you.

Golf Workouts Will Transform Your Golf Swing

I hope I've convinced you to take a real serious look at what all the other successful professional players are doing to stay at the top of their game. Doing golf workouts can and will dramatically change your game forever. Now get out there and get it started. No procrastinating. Do it right now!

Do you want to discover the secret to creating more power and consistency in your golf swing... and eliminating ALL your swing faults?

▷▷▷How Far To Bend At The Hips For A Consistent Golf Swing

How far to bend forward

You'll hear a lot of advice that says the shaft should be in a 90 degree angle with the angle of your spine. Yuck, I think teaching golf by angles is a horrible way to teach. Nobody on the planet is built the same as the next

guy and thinking about trying to maintain angles during your swing is a sure path to ruining your swing. The golf swing is really not that complicated a motion and should be performed in an athletic manner. It's amazing when you give a kid a golf club and let him or her swing it they almost always make a pretty good swing without having heard any advice. Well as you already know I believe that amateurs over complicate the swing and most of their problems are as a result of them hearing bad advice and misinterpreting it.

Ok enough of my rant let's get back to the setup. Determining how far you should bend forward will depend on your physical fitness level, your fatness : and what feels comfortable to you. The one thing that you MUST DO is BEND FROM THE HIPS.

I am NOT one of the most flexible people in the world and I am one of those semi fat people : but I still routinely hit the ball over 300 yards. So if you are not that flexible or are a little overweight : then feel free to stand a little more upright it will help you to achieve your backswing.

So how much you bend forward will largely depend on your, athletic ability, fatness and flexibility. The good news is you can apply all of the principles in the Bogey Killer book no matter how far forward you bend at the hips.

Some heavier set people or people with poor flexibility will find it easier to complete a shoulder turn by standing a little bit more upright as already mentioned.

I'm currently giving away my Bogey Killer book for FREE. Go to www.Bogeykiller.com [http://www.bogeykiller.com] to download it!

FINALLY: The Golf Swing's Simple Secret: A revolutionary method proved for the weekend golfer to significantly improve distance and accuracy from day one

List Price: $9.99 Have you ever wondered why the average handicap on the USGA has barely improved in the last 20 years? The answer is very simple:

a) The Golf Swing is very difficult to understand and to perform.

b) The average weekend golfer would love to improve but doesn´t have the time or the interest to spend long hours practicing.

After studying the golf swing for over 25 years, JF Tamayo has developed a revolutionary method proved for the weekend golfer of any level to significantly improve distance and accuracy from day one, based on three main principles:

1) FOCUS ON CHANGES THAT MOST POSITIVELY AFFECT RESULTS: Opposite to the traditional methods, this book will only ask you to make changes in the most relevant parts of the swing needed to hit solid and consistent shots: the backswing and the transition between the backswing and the downswing.

2) LEARN HOW TO DEVELOP AN EASY, REPEATABLE AND SOLID BACKSWING: One of the biggest breakthroughs of the method was the development of a unique and much easier way to consistently make a solidly sound backswing that will look similar to the new Tiger Wood´s one plane backswing but much simpler to learn, to do and to repeat.

3) LEARN HOW TO CREATE LAG: Being able to increase lag during the downswing is one of the major differences between the amateur's golf swing versus a professional's and probably one of the most misunderstood concepts of golf. In this book you will easily learn how to lag the club like the pros, dramatically improving your clubhead speed, ball striking ability and distance.

This incredible and simple method will instantly take your game to a higher level while you will be helping others since 50% of the profits obtained from this project will be donated to charity.

▷▷▷Golf Swing Made Easy - Information on How to Lengthen Your Drive and Cut Your Handicap

I've just come across a terrific book by David Nevogt , also known as 'The Golf Swing Guru' where he guarantees to lengthen your drive and cut your handicap by 7 to 12 strokes in just 2 weeks.

As a dedicated golfer, hitting off 27 on a good day! , I figure anything that can do that has got to be worth getting - even if it's only half as good as everyone says.

Some of the questions posed in this book are:-
1. Is your golf swing is providing you with the results you need to compete?
2. Are you throwing strokes away by topping, slicing or hooking the ball?
3. How many penalty strokes do you typically have during a round?

And in my case the answers are:-
1. No
2. Yes
3. Too many

How about you?

Some interesting golf facts:-
Did you know there are 27 Million golfers in the world?
And did you know that the average gross score is 107 ??
And less than 20% ever get a handicap under 27.

Would you like to get your handicap down to a number you'd be able to brag about?

This book explains in simple terms how you can lower your score every time you play.

And it stresses that it's your golf swing that drives your score, not your clubs or the ball you play.
As David says, that is the truth in simple terms.

It seems to work though. So far in 2006 people from 16 different countries have been helped by having their swing problems fixed. And as we all know, if you fix that problem and build an easy repeatable swing all the other good stuff can be built on more easily.

Some indication of David's success can be seen from the fact that "The Simple Golf Swing" has helped 7,987 golfers during the past 2 years. This system is rated the #1 golf instruction system on the Internet and the reason is quite simple - it's because it works.

I'm looking forward to seeing the results David's going to get with my really ugly swing! I'll let you know how it goes.

▷▷▷How To Keep A Golf Scorecard

Sometimes as you are beginning to play the game of golf, keeping score for a round may seem daunting at first. After reading this article, you should find scoring for golf can be easy. Many players do not keep score when they first start because they are already nervous and frustrated by their golf swing. Remember no matter what skill level you are at, having fun is the real name of the game.

We will begin with explaining the scorecard. Obviously, not all scorecards are alike. However, they all have some basic components. To start with, every scorecard has a wide column for the names of the players. This is purely for your reference. The order the names (or nicknames) appear on the card does not matter. Although golf is typically played in foursomes, you may find more than four spaces available for names. Sometimes, a scorecard will have par (we will discuss later) as a colored bar running across the card and this will allow for you to show teams more easily if needed.

Next, par on the scorecard refers to the expected amount of strokes that it may take to complete the hole for a scratch golfer. With exceptions to the rule, par is determined by distance. Par is always determined by assuming it would take two strokes once on the putting surface in regulation. For example a hole that is a "Par 5" should take 3 strokes to reach the green in regulation and two more strokes to complete. If you can reach a par five in two shots and two putts that would be a four or one under par or also known as a birdie. Conversely, if it takes you four strokes to reach the green on a par five and two putts then you would have made a six or be one over par also known as a bogey for that hole. After the round you may hear someone refer to their round as ten over. This means they were ten over par. On a course with a par of 72, they would have been telling you that they had shot 82 that day.

Sometimes players will use a handicap for scoring. The handicap is the amount of strokes that can be subtracted from a player's actual score to produce a net score. If your handicap is a 20 for the course you are playing that day and you shoot a score of 85 or thirteen over, 85 would be your .gross score. and 65 or seven under would be your .net score.. This is why sometimes you will see two tournament scores posted by a name at your local club. One is a gross score and the other is a net score.

You will also find a column to record a score for each hole played. Each time you make an attempt to hit the ball it will count as one stroke. The total strokes for each hole are added up and the total is entered on the scorecard. The first nine holes that you play are referred to as the out nine and the last nine holes are referred to as the in nine. Old links golf courses went straight out for nine holes and then turned and came straight back in. Once you have completed eighteen holes you will add you r scores form the front and back nines for your total score.

To properly complete a scorecard, you will sign the card as well. All scorecards have a place to sign as the scorekeeper or to attest the scorecard as well as to provide the date. This will become more important to you as you begin to play tournament golf. Your club may require this for the scorecard to be valid for handicap purposes as well. Check with your local club to make sure.

▷▷▷Book Review of Satchel - The Life and Times of an American Legend Written by Larry Tye

Larry Tye is the author of the book Satchel: The Life and Times of an American Legend. The book is published by Random House and is currently available in hardcover or Kindle versions.

One of the immediate challenges Larry faced when writing this book was quantifying the accomplishments of Satchel Paige, especially since record keeping and historical information was not as diligently kept in that era.

He did some painstaking analysis attempting to determine the total number of games that Satchel pitched, so he chose the major league record holder Jesse Orosco as a comparison. Orosco appeared in 1252 games, and as Larry explains, that accomplishment generally occurred between April and October. Satchel pitched "from April to April" and based upon his legendary status was expected to appear in any game that his team was scheduled to play. Based upon his research, Larry has determined Satchel appeared in approximately 2500 games.

Larry also came to the conclusion that the claims that Satchel made regarding wins, shutouts, no-hitters.. all of the big pitching categories.. would have set or broken major league records, had he not been excluded from playing there until the end of his career.

Satchel understood that the great white players such as Joe DiMaggio for example, received treatment from others that would help propel their star status and legendary accomplishments. He knew if he was going to ensure his own legacy, he would need to do that self promotion himself. In a way, it's as if Satchel Paige understood in this early era the importance of having a personal brand. He even contributed to discrepancies about his age in order to make his accomplishments more extraordinary. We hear that one of the greatest mysteries of the 30's and 40's was the true age of Satchel Paige!

One of the most interesting parts of the book revolves around a comparison of Babe Ruth and Satchel Paige, regarding interactions with baseball fans. Larry comes to the brilliant conclusion that although Babe Ruth was a great ambassador for the game and was adored by every fan of the day, Satchel had the daunting task of achieving that same status, while overcoming the incredible prejudices that white America had for black players, and black human beings in general. So without diminishing the following of Ruth, Satchel did something even more extraordinary.

During the time leading up to Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier for Branch Rickey, it was Satchel Paige who attracted the attention of the media and fans to the Negro Leagues. He was the one who made the effort to demonstrate the skill of the ballplayers in the league, and he would take credit for getting a backup second baseman for the Kansas City Monarchs in front of Branch Rickey in the first place. Rickey made the choice of Robinson for a number of reasons including personality, age, willingness to play in the minor leagues, and an understanding that he would have to turn the other cheek to the challenges that would be heaped upon him.

We finish the podcast with Larry telling us the great tale about Satchel's last appearance pitching for the Kansas City A's, owned by the great Charlie O. Finley. Satchel was 59 years, 2 months and 8 days old at the time. Finley set up a rocking chair near the bullpen and hired a nurse to rub up Satchel's arm. He came into the game to pitch three innings, and included in this moment is the fact that Carl Yastrzemski was the last to get a hit off of him. It completed the great family accomplishment in which Yaz and his Dad both got a hit off of Paige, as Carl Sr. had played against him in a semi-pro league on Long Island.

Although there might have been some sense of exploitation with this event, Satchel did what he wanted to do, which was get a paycheck from Charlie Finley and play the game that he loved!

The books is called Satchel: The Life and Times of an American Legend. The author is Larry Tye.

▷▷▷Putting is 2 Different Games

It is often said that golf and putting are two different games. To a large degree that assessment is correct. Although both are required on every shot, golf is more about power while putting is more about control.

What you never hear about is that putting itself is actually two different games. I break these down to putts under ten feet and putts over ten feet. I don't expect to make a very high percentage of the longer putts, but I expect to make every ten foot and shorter putt I have.

It requires two different kinds of skills to hit the two different kind of putts. On longer putts, speed is the most important thing, followed very closely by speed. On shorter putts, line becomes more important, followed very closely by speed.

Longer putts require a little more attention to speed because the more ground the ball has to roll over the more difficult it is to gauge the speed. On a five footer, the speed is a lot easier to gauge. Putting follows along the with rest of golf in that respect. The farther you get away from the hole the more difficult it becomes.

Shorter putts, ten feet and less, require a totally different mindset that any other golf shot. Rather than being golf, short putting is a simple target game. Just like any other game or sport where the object is to hit a target, it requires a focus on the target if you are going to succeed.

So golf is really three different games, with putting being two of them. By using the fundamentals of a target game in your short putting, you will automatically start to putt better. After all, it is a built in instinct to be able to propel an object to specific target. You just need to learn how to use that instinct with a putter in your hand.

▷▷▷How to Learn the Pro Putt Technique in Three Simple Steps

When I watch a top touring professional like Tiger Woods putt, it reminds me of how simple a putting stroke should be. The pros on the PGA and LPGA tours spend a great deal of their time simplifying their putting strokes so they can make more putts when it matters.

I'm sure that you are well aware that putting accounts for more than forty percent of your total score, so it makes good sense to develop a simple, repeatable putting stroke that you can rely on.

The pro putt technique is the simplest of all the golf strokes you can learn. In this article I will explain how you can focus on just three simple factors that will have you holing more putts than you could imagine.

It's hard to believe that such a simple action like the putting stroke could give so many golfers so much grief. After all, the putting stroke is only inches long and yet its influence is significant, because the shortest putt has the same value as the longest and straightest drive that you can hit.

If you want to shoot lower golf scores then you will have to learn how to putt more effectively. Fortunately for us there are only three factors to develop and master to become a highly competent putter.

I believe that any putting stroke that eliminates club face rotation will in the long run be a more successful technique for holing putts. I know this seems obvious but believe me; many of the golfers who attend my golf school suffer from too much club face rotation leading to inconsistent direction off the putter face.

Through my observations of successful professional golfers who are excellent putters I have identified three factors consistent with every one of them. These simple, overlooked factors are not the factors that you read about in virtually every golf instruction book or golf magazine, like a straight putting stroke or accelerate you putter through the ball etc.

These factors relate to the mechanism that drives the stroke and keeps the body in balance at the same time. Following are the three factors that I believe will significantly improve your putting performance day in and day out.

Right Arm in Plane with Shaft

In the address position make-sure that your right forearm and the putter shaft are directly in-line with each other. Then during the back stroke and forward stroke phases, maintain this forearm-shaft relationship.

All successful putters keep their arms and putter shaft in the same plane, and they power their putting stroke with the muscles of their upper back that moves their forearms backwards and forwards.

Maintain Upper Body Angle to Ball

The second factor that I teach my students is to keep their ear to hip angle to ball constant throughout the putting stroke. Any unnecessary up and down movement of your upper body in relation to the ball affects your ability to maintain the radius between the putter face and the top of your spine.

By keeping your upper body stable until three seconds after the ball departs from the club face will help you to strike your putts more solidly leading to better distance control.

Eye-Ball-Target Control

The third factor relates to your ability to keep your eye-line in the same plane as the golf ball and target. Great putters control the putt with their eyes. They watch the ball roll all the way to the target by simply rotating their eyes along the target line as their arms move through the ball.

Imagine a triangle from your dominant eye to the hole (or target) and back to the ball. When you strike your putt you maintain your eye to ball to target relationship until the ball come to rest.

By incorporating the pro putt technique into your putting stroke you will quickly discover that your putting stroke is straighter and more consistent and your strike on the putter face is more out of the sweet spot leading to better distance control, ultimately less putts per round and increased golf confidence.

▷▷▷How to Prevent Your Golf Swing from Breaking Down with Golf Fitness Exercises

It happens to all of us. We loose our golf swing, make some type of unknown modification in how we swing the club, and everything falls apart. What can we do to prevent our golf swing from leaving us?

Remember this saying as you continue to read this article; "Proper Preparation Precedes Success and Confidence". Think about this phrase for a moment and then keep reading.

I write about this subject because of an e-mail I received from a fellow golfer. The e-mail read:

"Sean, while out practicing I appear to have injured a muscle(s) in my back just below my left shoulder, and also around the outside of my left side rib cage. I have tried to continue to play golf through this injury, hoping it would get better but I had to stop. Hitting down and through the ball proved to very difficult and I seemed to be pulling out of shots early and topping the ball on my iron shots a lot.

Do you have any golf fitness exercises in your book which will heal the injury and prevent a re-occurrence?"

Absolutely! I do have golf fitness exercises to help you with the prevention of such an injury occurring.

But let's get back onto the topic of this article and that is the loss of our golf swing.

"Loosing" your golf swing can occur for a number of reasons. Typically, they fall into one of 3 categories:

1) Mechanical

2) Physical

3) Mental

A loss of your golf swing on the mechanical side of the equation is pretty simple to understand. Essentially, you have made an adjustment in the mechanics of your golf swing causing compensations to occur. These compensations result in poor shots and possibly a great deal of frustration, if you do not know what is happening.

Often times the amateur is completely unaware of the changes they have made wreaking havoc on their golf swing.

How do you go about solving such a situation?

Through proper instruction from a qualified teacher is the first part of this equation. A qualified teaching pro will be able to diagnose the problem and provide you guidance on how to fix it.

The ball is then in your court, meaning you must use this information and go practice (remember, proper preparation precedes success or confidence).

The second reason for the "loss" of your golf swing is a publicized matter, and it is your body.

Remember it is your body that swings the golf club. If your body is unable to swing the golf club properly, the ability to swing it without compensations will occur.

The e-mail above is an example of such a problem. The amateur golfer has incurred an injury as a result of the body not being flexible, strong, or powerful enough to swing the golf club properly over a period of time.

Keep in mind the golf swing requires certain levels of flexibility, balance, strength, endurance, and power to swing the golf club correctly. If any one of these facets within your body is not up to par (no pun intended, but it fits real well doesn't it?), the swing will suffer.

Often times body impairments causing you to "loose" your swing are not as severe as an injury (they will get that way if ignored), but rather they are a slight discomfort, muscle pull, or fatigue. Which cause compensations to occur in your golf swing.

Again, we can go back to the phrase "proper preparation precedes success and confidence". You must properly prepare your body for the golf swing. This is where golf fitness exercises are beneficial.

Golf fitness exercises develop the levels of flexibility, balance, endurance, strength, and power within the body to swing the golf club properly. Golf fitness exercises prepare the body to swing the golf club just as practice ingrains the mechanics of the golf swing.

We finally come to the third category, the mental aspect of golf and fitness. Mental blocks, certain thought processes, or a lack of confidence can directly affect your golf swing.

I have found through my work over the years with professional athletes the development of a sound mental approach to golf begins with the body and progresses from this point to swing mechanics.

If you develop a strong foundation in your body, it provides you confidence that you can perform the mechanics of the golf swing correctly.

Once the physical foundation is developed, you can create the optimal swing mechanics on top of this foundation. Once these two "building blocks" are in place. The mental approach towards the game is confident, relaxed, and focused. Again, let's go back to the phrase; "proper preparation precedes success and confidence." Confidence in your golf game can only occur if the physical foundation and fundamentals of the golf swing are in place.

To summarize, "loosing" your golf swing can be attributable to essentially 3 different categories. These categories are your golf swing mechanics, your body, and your mental approach to the game. To minimize the possibility of "loosing" your golf swing, develop a flexible, strong, and powerful body to support your golf swing mechanics. On top of this body, develop an efficient golf swing. This will allow your mental approach to be focused, relaxed, and confident.

If you are confident in your body's' ability to swing the golf club, the mechanics of your swing to execute the shot, the ability to mentally focus will be much easier. This is what separates good golf shots from bad golf shots on the golf course.

▷▷▷Quick Golf Instructions Tips

Playing golf is not much different from playing other sports. You need to learn basic golf instructions concerning regulations, techniques, customs and golf equipment. Besides practicing, learning golf instructions will help you along the path to be a professional golfer.

Golfers in the United States are free to enroll in training centers or educational classes approved by the US Golf Teacher's Federation as well as the Professional Golfers Association.

Here are some essential golf instructions tips for golfer who want to learn more information about this game.

1. Golf instructions were established in the medieval period

During the early 1350's, lessons were made public to the society. Early golfers created the fundamental concept of allowing other golfers to swing the following unbroken shot.

2. Learning can be expensive

Prior to the creation of the gutta-percha ball, simply learning about this game can be rather expensive then. It is deemed an exorbitant skill set whereby only the elite from Edinburgh are qualified to play the game.

3. Golf instructions featuring "Show-and-tell"

"Show-and-tell" sort of instructions were first established in 1848 which is also the same year that the "guttie" ball was created.

It was after this time that this game gradually became more affordable and accessible to everyone. Soon enough, this sport was slowly introduced to other parts of the globe.

4. The inaugural instructional book

The inaugural instructional book was first written in the year 1857. Entitled "A Keen Hand", it was penned by H.B. Farnie and covers ample lessons specifically on strategies and methods in the game.

5. Important elements in golf instructions

Dr Bob Rotella takes a slightly different approach with 'The Golf of your Dreams'. Instead of focusing on the mental side of the game, as with his bestselling book 'Golf is not a Game of Perfect', he provides readers with the tools they need to find a coach or mentor to develop them into all round players.

'The Golf of your Dreams' puts together a detailed plan of action for those golfers out there who are determined to lower their handicaps and shoot lower scores. He provides tips and ideas on how to communicate your dreams and desires to your chosen coach and put together an action plan for improvement that you will both be committed to.

Dr Bob Rotella is one of the worlds most respected and leading performance consultants and sports psychologists around today and 'The Golf of your Dreams' is a program created for success that is based on his own experiences over the years whilst working with the many of the top touring professionals.

Just reading Dr Bob Rotella's, 'The golf of your Dreams' isn't going to make you a great golfer or significantly improve your game, your efforts and commitment will ultimately determine your success, however, this book will give you some excellent guidance and a great awareness of what you need to do, to start playing the golf of your dream!

▷▷▷There Are Only Two Kinds of Putts

Driving is probably the most fun shot in golf to many players. You get to put the ball up on a peg and swing the biggest club in the bag as hard as you can. When properly done, you get to watch the ball fly high and far.

Putting, on the other hand, is the most frustrating shot in golf to most players. Especially when the putts are close enough to the hole the golfer feels they should make them. Everybody knows if you miss a short putt you lost a stroke, no matter how far the drive went.

Somewhere down the line, your objective has to change from hitting a general area such as with a tee shot or long approach putt, to hitting a specific target and making the ball fall into a hole.

There are really only two kinds of putts. The ones you want to leave close, and the ones you think you should make. But most golfers apply the same technique and mindset for both types of putts.

The result is often poor putting from short range, and the resulting higher scores from missing those putts the golfer feels they should make. One of the biggest reasons these short putts are missed is because the golfer is still focused on the putting stroke instead of the target they must hit to make the putt.

By failing to change their mindset to one more conducive to making a short putt, the golfer continues to take a "lag putt" approach on putts they should be trying to make.

If you want to improve on your short putting, you have to change the way you look at what you are trying to do. Short putting is not a matter of making a perfect stroke. Success in short putting comes by hitting a perfect target, which can be done with a less than perfect stroke.

▷▷▷Improve Your Game Through Golf Instruction Videos

There are many methods of golf instruction, from one-on-one training with a professional to group lessons. Golf instruction videos have many advantages over face-to-face classes or other learning methods such as books or audiotapes. You can both see and hear the instructions as you perform the task. The instructor on the video becomes your personal teacher taking you step-by-step through each skill. You can set your own pace and repeat the video over and over as needed. You can watch certain sections at any time of the day or night. If you are embarrassed about the weaknesses of your golf game, you can work on improving them in the privacy of your own home.

With thousands available you should have no problem finding the golf instruction video best for you. As with any training tool, you need to choose one that addresses your specific needs.

While some video ads make outrageous claims about its ability to improve your game, take it with a grain of salt. Look at your golf instruction video as a guide, not a guarantee. A golf instruction video will not magically transform your game. Watch the video several times, however, to make sure you have extracted all the tips and advice offered. Several small pieces of advice can add up to a big difference and big improvement.

A golf instruction video visually presents methods to improve your golf. Compare the visual examples provided with what you do yourself. Get someone to videotape your swing, putt or whatever you are working on with the video so you can see where you differ from the advice in the video. Look at posture and stance, backswing and follow through, and look for differences. It's not easy to see and correct your faults without taking a very close look.

Consider your fitness level. You can't take advantage of everything a golf instruction video has to offer without having muscles fit for golf. Try doing golf-specific exercises so that you can be sure that your muscles are ready to be trained for improved golf.

Ask other golfers if they have used a golf instruction video that has been helpful. While your needs may differ, you might find a different video from the same company if you get a good recommendation.

▷▷▷The Simple Golf Swing Review - Takes the Mystery Out of Golf

Golf can be incredibly frustrating if you don't have the natural skills of Tiger Woods or Ernie Els. The Simple Golf Swing is a system of golf lessons that can teach you how to improve your game, even if you will never hit the tournament circuit. Don't be the guy everyone waits for as you fish your ball out of the water anymore. Use the tips and techniques from the system to take your game out of the rough and back onto the green where it belongs.

1. How Does The Simple Golf Swing Work?

The system works on all the aspects of the game of golf with step by step instructions and skill builders that build on one another. Take the system one piece at a time and you will be amazed at how quickly you can accomplish a new and effective swinging style.

2. What Will You Learn From The Simple Golf Swing?

The Simple Golf Swing is centered around the way the body twists. It mainly focuses on the spine. This system will teach you how to use your spine as an axis as you rotate your body smoothly around it to connect the club with the ball. It sounds complicated, but the method is very easy to learn and you will see the difference in your swing right away. It is possible to learn the entire system in as little as three hours and begin to use it on your next trip to the golf course.

3. Straight Shots Will Lower Scores.

The Simple Golf Swing also teaches you how to handle the club and approach the ball so your shots won't veer off course and into the trees or sand traps every time. You'll learn the right way to grip the club and control the head of the club so that it strikes the ball completely flush. The system also gives you valuable tips that will improve the timing of your swing, which will improve your control of how hard you hit the ball and how high and straight it flies. When the ball goes where you want it to your scores will start to drop dramatically.
