▷▷▷Tips and Tricks For Improving Your Golf Swing

Here are some tips and tricks you can use to improve your golf swing.

Using some simple things that everyone has around the house you can improve your swing.

One of the most common problems golfers have is hitting a slice. This is usually caused by taking the golf club too far inside and around the body in the backswing. The body then responds from this position and your shoulder and hands move outward which results in an outside to in path to the ball.

A simple way to help your backswing come back straighter and not so far inside is to take a book and place it between both of your hands with the palms facing each other. Hold the book in place with the right hand slightly lower than the left just as if you are holding the golf club. Now take the book back until you have it halfway back in your backswing. This drill will make sure that you do not take the club too far inside and you can do it anywhere without having to be on the golf course.

Another good way to help your backswing and your extension is by swinging a broom. Take a regular broom with your golf grip and swing it back straight and then take a complete swing. To make sure you are on plane with your swing, see if the broom is pointing at the target line on both the backswing and the downswing. The bristles should point at the target line on the backswing and the handle end will point at the target line on the downswing.

One of the biggest problems with players in their short game is making good and consistent contact. Most of the time the reason is that the right hand flips and straightens out during impact. This gives you a bent left wrist at impact and a straight right wrist. You want to have the opposite position to make great contact.

To insure a flat left wrist and a bent right wrist take a common ruler and place it over your hand and left wrist on the outer side. Get a strong rubber band and wrap it around your arm to keep the ruler in place. Now go hit some chips or pitches. The ruler will keep your left wrist straight and your right one bent. Crisp contact is now easy.

Many players are too right sided in their golf swings. This can cause an over the top swing and also a lack of power. Throwing a frisbee with the left hand can train your left side in the golf swing. Take the frisbee and just throw it far and hard. Then take your golf club in your left hand only and swing. Finally hit the ball with your regular grip.

Another great tool for grooving an inside/out path to rid yourself of the slice is to use a shoe box.

Take a shoe box and place it to the side of the target line just outside of the ball.

If you hit balls with the box in place and have an outside to in path you will hit the shoe box with your club. When you can hit balls without hitting the box then you will groove an inside to out path.

Follow these simple tips and tricks and you will improve your golf swing.
